Clio16valver started back in 2006 with the intention to create a small community for like minded Clio valver enthusiasts. After a lot of hard work and the continued commitment from our members, we have become much more than that and are super proud to be able to call ourselves the 1st and only Clio16valver owners club.

The club was started by Gavin, who is still a big part of the club today. Gav was a member of another Clio enthusiasts club and grew tired that noone seemed to want to see or discuss the car he loved the most, which was the Clio 16valver. He wanted there to be a place where people with the same passion as him could go to, ask any questions and find their answer. Also a club where the community was like a family and no one felt an outcast if they didn’t drive the car the club was created for. With little money and no clue on what to do, Gav set up Clio16valver on a free server platform and proudly ran with the name clio16valver.freespace.com. Word got out quickly and within weeks we had grown to the point where we needed to expand our platform. Still with no money we couldn’t afford a domain name but found a company that would let us host larger forum software (phpbb) and sported the domain clio16valver.circlehosting.com. Still we kept growing and we knew we was going to exceed our capacity, plus with the server we were on at the time we was very restricted on what we could code into the forum and offer our enthusiasts. So, we bit the bullet and purchased some server space and domain name, and alas Clio16valver.co.uk was born.

Still with word getting out and more and more dedicated members joining, we were able to offer very technical guides, answers to all questions and the community we had hoped for when it all began. We chose the name Clio16valver because the Clio16v was always referred to as the ‘valver’ and we wanted ‘Clio’ in there for Google reasons and advertising. Plus, members were really growing to like our logo.

Since then Clio16valver has grew year on year, gaining sponsorship from Renault Sport for our 1st French Car Show and being able to offer incredible discount from some amazing companies. Now coming up to our 7th year, we don’t seem to be going anywhere but up, with constant updates of our website and new members joining daily Clio16valver is and always will be the number 1 community to go to for any Clio16v enthusiast.
